The Embassy of Rwanda in Qatar announced that the services it normally provides have been moved online due to security concerns.
In a statement posted on X on March 4, 2026, the embassy said it will continue assisting people who need its services, stating:

This announcement comes after Iran continued launching strikes on countries in the Middle East region in retaliation for attacks carried out against it by the United States and Israel on February 28, 2026.
Iran had previously warned that if it were attacked, it would trigger a regional war and retaliate against all countries hosting U.S. military bases.
The conflict has caused market prices to surge and air travel to be suspended.
At the start of the attacks, RwandAir, Rwanda’s national airline, announced that it had suspended its flights to and from Doha in Qatar and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to Iran’s attacks in the Middle East.
