The Ministry of Youth and Arts Development has opened applications for the 2025 Youth Connekt Awards and Arts Connekt competition, in partnership with the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The annual contests celebrate innovation, creativity, and the contributions of young entrepreneurs across Rwanda.
“We are pleased to launch the 2025 Youth Connekt Awards and Arts Connekt, aimed at recognizing innovation, creativity, and the achievements of young entrepreneurs in Rwanda,” the ministry said in a statement posted on its official X account.
Registration opened Monday, Aug. 18, and will run until Sept. 30. Eligible participants include young innovators in technology, agriculture, industry, and services, as well as artists and creatives competing under the Arts Connekt category.
The Youth Connekt Awards are designed to help young entrepreneurs grow their projects. Since its launch, more than 1,500 youth-led businesses have been awarded, generating over 10,000 jobs nationwide, according to the ministry.
This year’s grand prize is set at 25 million Rwandan francs (about $18,800), while smaller awards will be 1 million francs ($750).
